Wasserman Football Center, UCLA
The 73,500-square-foot Wasserman Football Center is a state-of-the-art complex representative of UCLA’s football heritage. The facility was designed with the intent of raising the caliber of the athletic program, promoting player development, and driving the recruitment and retention of both players and coaches. For the very first time, both student-athletes and football staff are located on campus. The building boasts offices for coaches and support staff, team meeting rooms, a 160-seat auditorium, locker rooms, strength training and rehabilitation facilities, and player amenity spaces, including a lounge, other casual areas, and a barbershop.
The UCLA brand was used as the foundation for the development of a visual language to convey the traditions and culture of the football program. Throughout the Center, historic events, awards, accomplishments, and individuals are recognized and celebrated. Architectural and graphic moments incorporate white ash, slate, brass, and other materials to engage and inspire all building users.
