Supercell Office, Tokyo

The Tokyo Supercell office embraces the design principle of borrowed scenery, which incorporates background landscape into the composition of a traditional Japanese garden. Located on the top floor of a commercial tower in the Aoyama district of Tokyo, and surrounded by an outdoor terrace space, the office design frames specific views of the city skyline beyond. Prioritizing visual connection to the exterior surroundings invites ample natural daylight to filter inside, while access to the terrace allows employees to swap between indoor and outdoor spaces for fresh air. These features were a response to the client’s desire to provide a healthy office environment, boosting staff’s productivity.
